I recently moved to the Hutchinson area and have been working a part time position at a local daycare and preschool. I love working with children, but need to find a dependable position so that I am better able to support myself while I get through school. At the daycare, I cared for children, played with and read to them, taught arts and crafts to toddlers, helped toddlers develop their motor skills, helped with meals, and had cleaning responsibilities. I observed for 20 hours at different daycare locations in order to fulfill the Reno County training requirements. I took CPR and First Aide training as well as training on handling a variety of behavioral issues. While in high school, I also babysat for 4-year-old twins, one of which was autistic.
