I am currently a Licensed Substitute Teacher in USD#373 Newton Unified School District. I have been subbing for the past two years as I completed my degree in Elementary Education. I am currently studying for my exams to become a licensed K-6 grade teacher. My work prior to substitute teaching was at the Harvey County Courthouse working for a non-profit organization assisting children in Newton and McPherson County to find safe, permanent homes. I love kids! I currently tutor various students in the Newton community via Skype and/or over the phone as needed but would really love the opportunity to work with struggling students in person to make sure I am fully meeting their individual learning needs. It is also so much more fun to interact with them one on one and watch as they successfully complete difficult assignments with a renewed sense of self achievement! My goal is for Read more every student to learn to love learning as much as I love teaching them to learn!
