Hello! My name is Erin Hauber and I have been a childcare provider for several years. I graduated from Kansas State University, May 2016 in Early Childhood Education as well as Family Studies and Human Services. I just moved from Oklahoma City where I was a three year old preschool teacher. As a teacher I was actively engaged with the children at all times. I supported their development through play and social interactions; providing the language to support independent problem solving and emotional awareness and control. It was amazing to see the development that occurred over the year I spent with the kiddos I taught...I miss their sweet hearts and warm smiles every day! Prior to being an educator I nannied for three families, all with children under 7 years. I absolutely love working as a nanny because I have the opportunity to be a role model, a friend and Read more a teacher to children who I care for as if they are a part of my family. What I look forward to most is getting the children I care for outside and around within the community. I think nature, art and science are extremely important for children to find interest and joy in. As a child care provider I always strive to be the best I can be. Everyday I expect myself to learn something new to improve as a professional. Sometimes this occurs through critical thinking, sometimes by going back to my books and sometimes even contacting my college professors for advice and guidance. I would absolutely love to become a nanny again to work so closely with a family and provide the comfort in knowing the child is in good hands.
