Art is a very important part of a preschool child’s overall learning experience and development. Children need to be given the adequate amount of time and the correct mediums to create art that is meaningful to them it allows a child to express themselves freely and creatively. I found that having safe “junk” to create art was very interesting since by having these material present in the class gives children endless creative possibilities. I also thought it was interesting how much they stressed individual expression when creating art.
