I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Northern Kentucky University just last year, and am now working toward a Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling at Xavier University. I have been babysitting for multiple different families since I was about 15 years old. In addition to babysitting in the home setting, I have gone on vacations with numerous families solely just to babysit. I have also nannied part-time for two different families within the past 3 years. That included picking the kids up from school, taking them to after school activities, doing chores around the house such as dishes and laundry, etc. I was also a lifeguard for 5 years at a lake, meaning of course I was once CPR and first aid certified. Unfortunately those certifications expired within the last year or two though. In addition to the experience I just listed, I also worked at a daycare up until Read more May 2014. I worked at the daycare for about six months before I took another job offer that provided me with more flexibility. I have always had a passion for children and I would love to nanny part-time again while I'm in graduate school at Xavier. I am a very active individual. For example, I hiked the Grand Canyon rim to rim this past summer, I have participated in two half marathons and two Tough Mudder competitions, and I will be going on a 24 mile white water rafting trip in October. I love staying active and it is important to me to ensure that the children I watch are also staying active-- of course not to the extent of my activeness though.
