I have worked with children since I was 16 years of age. I grew up in a small town babysitting and working with infants and Toddlers in our church. After college, I worked for 7 years in youth ministry. Volunteered in VBS for over 8 years as well not including about 4 years with my own children. I have worked in a pre-school for 2 years and volunteer for 4. I have been a PTA president of an Elementary School, volunteer for over 7 years, served on my kids elementary school board for 4 years and I must say I have enjoyed it all. I am also a mother of 4 children. I had a small daycare in my house tending to small teachers kids and neighbor kids for 2 years. The experience is vast and one that has left many great memories not just with children but their families Read more as well. I enjoy doing crafts, going to the park, reading time at the Library and if the kids are sick well we can certainly do it at home. I am flexible and leave my time open to spend with the kids while under my care. I like to have a schedule set up but am flexible in altering it when necessary. Phone calls from parents are always welcome. In my years of experience with children and my very own, I have found out that listening, praise, and smile go along way to gain their trust. I like to incorporate music and reading even if the little one still an infant. I treat them as if they were my own. Love kids and helping parents too.
