I am the grandmother of 7 grandchildren, ages 1 through 10. I was the caregiver for 3 of them for 2 years, while their parents worked. It was the most fulfilling time of my life, and I miss it. But they live in Ohio and I moved back to Kentucky in 2014 and returned to the family business in Henderson (O'Daniel's Flower Shop) to work with my brother. The Flower Shop was closed permanently on December 22, 2017. My own grandchildren are well taken care of by their stay at home moms. My desire is to help other working parents who choose to opt out of the daycare setting. I see a very distinct stability in children who are cared for at home, until they are old enough to start school. I would like to be part of that stability.
