I am currently a student at Western Kentucky University double majoring in Nutrition and Dietetics and Pre-Med. This past semester I spent studying abroad in England and traveling the world. I am very active and love to be outdoors especially in the summer. I have learned to be very patient and calm in any situation and being in a medical field has taught me excellent problem solving-crisis management is a strong point. Nap times, meal times and bed times are often the hardest part of a parents or nanny's duties but after years of experience I have come to understand the art and have the tools to make such things run more smoothly. I have not been a full time nanny before but have been babysitting children for over eight years with children ages newborn to 13 years old. I am an extremely responsible and prompt and possibly overly-organized individual and consider myself a good role model. I have always gotten along well with children and am physically active to participate in any activities. I have been a runner, played lacrosse, swim and hike regularly among many other things and am great at making activities kid friendly and getting children to participate. I was involved in theater and art for many years so am no stranger to craft times and fun indoor activities as well. Although I am not certified for CPR I have taken several safety and first aid classes along with my medical courses that qualify me to handle such an emergency. Working with children is so rewarding, and I want to spend my time investing in the lives of people and making a difference as best I can. Upon graduation I actually plan on working in Pediatric Oncology because my passion for working with children is one I want to pursue for the rest of my life. I am willing to go above ad beyond as a nanny and am a fully invested individual in all that I do. I was raised on the concept of "leave it better than you found it," something that I apply to everything in my life and career.
