I am a mature, dependable older woman. I was an activity director at skilled nursing facilities specializing in working with people with Alzheimer's.. I moved to Covington to be with family . At this time in my life I have turned my focus upon my second favorite age group-newborns and young children I raised my two children very successfully. They are well adjusted, respectful independent and really fun young adults. My late husband was in federal law enforcement. Often I was on my own for days and weeks when he was on temporary duty away from home. I am calm under pressure, think quickly on my feet and handle situations that inevitably arise with babies and young children I love to rock and cuddle newborns. Watching a baby grow, change and learn is a wonderful blessing. My experiences with babies comes not only from my two, but from working at Read more the pre-school program at my church. I was one of two teachers in the nursery class for tots ages 18-24 months old. I loved that job. It gave me the opportunity to play with so many precious babies-watch them grow and introduce them to many new things. I know lots of songs, games and activities for the very young. Until recently, I was a nanny for a baby who is now 11 months old. I had to quit because his older brother had behavior problems I am not equipped to handle. I will be happy to do all I can to help you. From my own experiences, I know how challenging a newborn can be. I assure you I am flexible, punctual, dependable and honest. When my husband was assigned to the US embassy in Paris, I worked for US Secret Service. I had a high law enforcement top clearance. I am a caregiver at heart, as most of my jobs reflect. I will care for your precious baby like it is my own, but remain very aware that I am your employee. I look forward to meeting you soon.
