Even though I am an only child, I have plenty of experience caring for others. I have had many pets through the years and I have also babysit and tutored children. It started when I was a child myself. My mother was a teacher, so I was always around other children longer than a regular school day because we would stay late and get there early for her to grade papers and watch kids in detention and help them with schoolwork. Years later she decided to quit to open up her own daycare center in our home. I became a paid employee around 10 years of age because I would get home from school and help her with the kids. Most were 2, 3, or 4 years old. I had a lot of fun, and learned a thing or two along the way. On and off through the years I've Read more tutored children of various ages, something I still enjoy doing a lot. Molding young minds, showing learning is fun, imparting knowledge. I'm used to children around the workplace, too, from various libraries I've worked in. Many parents like to drop their kids off and library employees almost become surrogate parents to some of them. I have a child of my own; he's a teenager now, and more of a handful than he ever was. Ha ha! I used to babysit my employer's baby off and on from a few weeks old until he was around 4 years old. I don't see him as much anymore as he has enough doting relatives to care for him. :-) I would love to care for (and/or tutor) your child -- babies or older. Age doesn't matter. They're all great!
