As a former In-house Nanny, I have always been passionate about child care and therefore I am excited at the opportunity to take care of your child. Growing up as the eldest child of my family and with a baby brother almost ten years my junior, child care was something that has always come naturally to me. I first started to explore my interest in it more seriously when I decided to apply to an Au Pair program. In my senior year of high school I obtained the necessary 200 hours of prior professional child care experience by dividing my time between two internships; one at the Kindergarten Wulferdingsen as a Preschool Teacher (which serves children ages 3 to 6) and one at the Kindertagesstätte Spatzennest as a Toddler Teacher(which serves children ages 11 months to 6 years). After graduating high school in the summer of 2005 I had the Read more privilege of being an In-house Nanny for two lovely girls (ages 6 and 13 at the time of my arrival). Living with and working for an American family has broaden my horizon and enabled me to relate to a culture and way of upbringing different from my own. Even after returning to Germany my appreciation for child care led me to babysit the Reuter girls (ages 8 and 10 at the time) during my summer break in college. Experience caring for different children has taught me how to be attentive and cater individually to each child’s need.
