Meet Gwen

Currently, I am an undergraduate at Northeastern University studying Psychology with a focus in Education. Through my school I have been working this semester at a K-8 school where I am an Assistant Teacher, covering in for teachers when they have meetings. I also do lunch and recess duty. From a young age I have had a passion in working with children and most of my experience has been in caring for children. Throughout high school I worked closely with the pre-school in our school garden and teaching them to become aware of the environment. I have worked as a camp counselor and this experience taught me how to plan and execute different activities for the children. I have also worked as an assistant coordinator at an after school program for children in grades 1st to 4th; there I was responsible for helping the first and second graders with their Read more homework. I was also in charge of preparing and serving snack to all of the children when they first arrived. More recently I volunteered as an after school tutor at Fenway High School where I worked one on one with students who needed extra help on their homework. Furthermore, I have also babysat for individual families multiple times and am familiar with the responsibilities of caring for and watching after children for an extended amount of time.
