I am passionate about my work as a nanny and consider it to be a noble and worthy endeavor. I am devoted to giving the children in my care the absolute best of everything: focused attention, nurturing, healthy foods, love and affection. One of my best qualities is being able to really engage and get into a child's world. I am a connector. This breeds trust and facilitates positive and healthy behavior in children. I love to play and be silly and help children develop their imaginations. I will do anything for a laugh. I am also a classically trained singer/pianist and am always making up songs and singing around my charges. Music is a great educator and so important to the development of a young child. I have a calm, easygoing personality and I am extremely patient, gentle and observant. I am a proponent for validating children's feelings and Read more making them feel heard and seen. I practice saying 'please and thank you' with them as infants and by the time they are two they usually are saying it back to me. On walks to the park or elsewhere, I am always looking for teaching opportunities. I'll tip the stroller back to have them look up at the leaves on the trees or point out the bees kissing the flowers. I even make diaper changing fun. Modeling joy and positivity for children is deeply important to me.
