As a Nanny for many years, I was responsible for changing diapers, cooking dinner, overseeing the children's swimming classes,and helping with home work. To make it fun for the children, on Thursday nights I would come in with stickers and conduct a "practice spelling test" to prepare them for the one on Friday. In order to facilitate with nightly baths and getting them ready for bed which was sometimes a challenge, I always made sure the children were very active throughout the day by taking them to the playground, rollerblading and bike riding, and of course ending the night with hide and seek and a bed time story. I feel that the experience I've gained with being a nanny to multiple families, have made me become very comfortable with the different personalities and behaviors that many children exhibit.
