I began working as a nanny in the summer of 2009. I cared for three children, two girls and a boy. They were 9, 6 and 2, respectively. My job consisted of watching them Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Before the week began, I would plan fun activities to do with them. For example, I would take them to the sports club where their parents had a membership and they would swim and play with friends. I would plan other things to do as well such as taking them to the movies, painting, and going to the beach. Along with planning activities, I prepared meals, cleaned the house and helped with homework. For this particular family, I cared for their children two summers in a row and I would also watch them on occasional weekend nights throughout the year.
