I am a current 9th grade teacher looking to provide support to a family for the upcoming school year. I am transitioning to taking PhD courses at Boston College so a full time teaching job no longer works with my schedule. After receiving my Master's degree at Boston College Lynch School of Education in Secondary History, I have taught history for the past three years. I have the opportunity to work with older kids throughout the day, but I love spending time with the little ones as well! I absolutely love working with children and would be honored to work with you and your child. I have worked extensively with children and love the opportunity to use my imagination just as much as they do! I have experiences working with kids of all ages from newborn to teenager. I am the youngest of 8 children and have had nieces and Read more nephews since I was 1 years old. I frequently cared for them throughout middle school and high school until I left home to attended college. Throughout high school, I volunteered at a local community center and assisted with the toddler group on a weekly basis. When I went to college I continued to care for kids on a regular basis. I volunteered with a group of kids aged 2-12 weekly as well as babysat many of the kids that I volunteered with. I have also had the opportunity to babysit for many of the faculty and staff around campus. While here in Boston I have worked with a handful of families with children ranging in age from newborn to 8 years old. I am able to do bath time, homework, and bedtime. I love spending time with children and hope that you will connect with me in order to see if we are a good match. I am CPR (adult and toddler) and First Aid certified. I have a vehicle so if you do not live close to public transportation that is not an issue for me. I also do not smoke and I am comfortable being around pets.
