I currently attend the University of Massachusetts and will be graduating in May 2016. Upon completion of my Bachelors degree, I will be studying Pediatric Nursing at Simmons College in Boston starting in Fall 2016. I am very outgoing, neat, and great with children. I love the outdoors, so when it's not raining (or even if it is), I prefer to be outside in the fresh air. I enjoy cooking, arts and crafts, and reading. I've been babysitting since I turned 14 (8 years ago) and have great references. In summer 2015 I nannied full-time for 1-year old twins, which reassured me of the passion that I have for working with children (and made me a great multitasker!). This was one of the best experiences for me, helping them develop both physically and mentally everyday was incredibly rewarding. I have volunteered in a daycare with infants and toddlers for about Read more a year, where we worked with infants during all stages of physical development, from "tummy time" to sitting up, to crawling and walking. We also taught elementary sign language so infants that could not speak had a way to communicate. Playing with and teaching children is one of the most fun and rewarding experiences for me and I am hoping to take on another full time position for summer 2016. I am a non-smoker, very responsible, and am infant CPR and first aid certified. I have been cleaning houses as a summer job for five years, so light housekeeping and laundry are fine with me.
