Hello! My name is Andrea and I have 2+ years experience working as a nanny and au pair. I was the after-school and summertime childcare provider for a family with two young girls (aged 7 to 11) for one year. I was responsible for meeting the girls at the bus stop, helping with homework, making sure chores were completed, prepared meals, ran errands, and drove to/from after school activities. Also, I recently returned home from spending a year as an au pair in the south of France. I was the au pair of a French family with three children, aged between 9 months and 7 years. I was in charge of everyday childcare which included: waking children up, preparing breakfast, making sure they were dressed for school/daycare, brought them to school/daycare, cleaned and tidied their rooms, did their laundry, picked them up from school/daycare, prepared snacks, bring to/from after school Read more activities, helped with homework, prepared dinner, gave children showers/baths, and put them to bed. In addition to the above-mentioned tasks, my main duty was to teach the children English. I am currently looking for a part-time babysitting or nanny position that will help me get settled and will fit in my schedule. Full-time positions will be considered if the right opportunity comes up. A little bit more about me: I am a college graduate and hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Pre-Medical and Health Studies, with a minor in Biology. I plan to continue my education to become a Physician's Assistant (PA). From my year in France, I now speak French, as well as English. I enjoy traveling, reading, running, kayaking, and baking. I enjoy working with children very much and hope to one day work in the pediatric field. I like helping children with homework and tutoring in subjects they have difficulty in. I also love the endless childhood activities such as coloring, arts and crafts, games, and sports. I have always been athletic and have played: soccer, volleyball, softball, basketball, threw in track, and danced. I am very reliable and punctual. Yelling at children is not for me and do not use TV's to "sit." In addition to my paid experience, I was a volunteer in the NICU department at Brigham and Women's Hospital for one year.
