My name is Chelsey Coelho and I am a 27 year old resident of Canton, MA. I originally went to the University of Rhode Island to earn my bachelor’s degree in Communications, but then decided to go back to school to obtain my license in Elementary Education. During my time at Framingham State University (where I earned my Elementary Education License) I worked in a day care where I gained experience working with children from 3 months- 6 years old. When I finished school at Framingham State I immediately began substitute teaching in Mansfield, Sharon, and Westwood public school systems, and then in September of 2013 I got a job as an assistant kindergarten teacher in the Sharon public school system. I spent the year teaching students to read, write, and develop social skills, among other things! I love working with children and watching them grow both academically and socially! Read more After the school year ended last June I began working as a nanny for a family that I worked for part time while I was substitute teaching. The children were 1, 3, and 5 when I first started working with them almost two years ago, and now they are in preschool, kindergarten, and second grade! I loved becoming a part of their family and watching the children grow up! This past September my family needed help with their landscape/construction company, so I put everything else on hold to come manage the office at our family business. I work at Guerrini Landscape full time, and then I also babysit for a wonderful family in Westwood with two girls who are in 4th grade and 6th grade. Now that my family’s company is back on track, I really want to go back to a job where I am pursuing my passion, which is working with children.
