Children have been a huge part of my life since a young age. At a young age, I was assisting my mother take care her children at her home day care. This was a very fun job and I knew once I was old enough I would begin babysitting for other. At the age of 14, I started sitting for family of 3 during the summer job and I loved it. I would babysit, feed, and sometimes stay overnight. Every since then I've had multiple part-time sitting jobs. Now that I attend Suffolk University, I am apart of Jumpstart. In Jumpstart, we teach kids ages 3-6 from low income families to write their names, say the sounds in their names, and incorporate vocab words from the readings we read to our partner children. This program has taught me a lot and I can't wait to start back up when the Read more fall semester begins.
