Hello, I'm Cassaundra, but I go by Cassie. I'm 20 years old and have recently finished my second year of college. I am majoring in Human Development, with a concentration in Early Childhood Education. I plan to get my Master's degree in Elementary Education. I took two classes in high school called Child Development I and II. These classes offered information about child development and also offered a hands-on preschool where high school students were able to work with preschoolers. I also volunteered through a community service class at a daycare center for multiple semesters from my sophomore year through my senior year. It was my extensive exposure to working with small children my which made it clear that a career working with children and teaching was for me. After completing my senior year at daycare center, the director asked me to apply to be a substitute teacher. Since then, Read more I have been substituting there when I am on breaks from college and days I am not in classes. Two summers ago, I worked as a nanny for a family known to a coworker at the daycare. I worked full time for this family and cared for the children who were nine and 12 years of age and also did light housekeeping duties along with transporting the children to and from scheduled activities. Last summer, I did various babysitting jobs as family events prevented me from working full time. I currently work as a full time teacher at the daycare as my sophomore year in college has finished. I will finish with this on June 24th when the school year ends. I am also now caring for two young girls, ages six and eight, in the early morning and driving them to school. I have CPR and First Aid certification. I am available to work full time or part time from June 25th until Labor Day.
