Hello my name is Lisbely (Liz) Brito and I just wanted to go over a few things about myself and how I got started in the profession of childcare! As a fulltime infant teacher, I have encountered a variety of children and family situations which have shaped me into a flexible and quick-thinking worker. With my experience and skills, combined with my strong initiative and calm head under pressure I am convinced I would be an excellent employee. I have been working in childcare for over 6 years now, my want to work with children all originated back in high school when my mother’s friend needed a babysitter for her infant son. Since that experience it has been my goal to work as an educator and that is what I have been doing. I started working in daycare as of August 2015 as a float and stand in, then in Read more May of 2016 I received my teaching certificate for infants to Pre-K. Soon after I worked as a pre-k assistant teacher and then moved on to be an infant teacher, which I have been working as for the past 5 years. As of March 2019 I have officially became Lead Infant/Toddler certified which was a big accomplishment for me professionally. It has always been a passion of mine to help educate and raise children and make sure they can grow to be the best that they can be. I am constantly learning new skills and applying them to how I work with children, in addition I am CPR and First Aid certified. Throughout the years I have learned some basic sign language and have applied it in the classroom, I tend to use my resources to plan developmentally appropriate activities for children to keep them focused and intrigued with their projects. But as of September 2020, after Covid had hit us the hardest, I decided nannying would be the best option. I took the opportunity in such a difficult time to transition and have that one-on-one bonding time with children, knowing that they would be benefiting developmentally wise and finding fun, creative ways to learn and play. Given my experience, qualities, and attitude, I am confident that I will be able to make valuable contributions to your workplace/family!
