Hi! I am a caring, energetic, and dedicated caregiver with eight years full-time nanny experience, one year live-in au pair experience, & nine years babysitting experience. I’m looking for another position, either Tues/Thurs mornings &/or full Wednesdays, where my strengths and talents working with infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children can be used to help each child develop to their best potential. I'm fully certified in Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED/First Aid via the American Red Cross. I'm looking forward to meeting you! My experience working with children began in 2002 as a weekly babysitter for a family with 2 kids- one with juvenile diabetes. My duties included monitoring the child's blood sugar, taking appropriate actions, and providing a safe and fun play environment for the two children. I continued working with them until 2010, when the children were old enough to no longer need a sitter. I moved to Sweden in Read more 2008, working as a live-in au pair for a family with a newborn and a toddler for a year. I assisted the family with their daily routine and family vacations during the first 6 months, working predominantly with of the toddler and two cousins (another toddler and a pre-schooler.) I then took over full-time daily care of the infant for the next 6 months, providing meals, hygiene, playtimes, while ensuring developmental progress, both physical and social. I also provided before- and after-school care for the toddler, including meals, accompanying them to and from school, and teaching healthy tantrum resolution strategies. From 2009-2011, I worked as a nanny for a university professor in Boise, ID. I began by taking care of their first child, just 7 months old when I started until they were 3. I also took over full-time duties of their second child, aged 4 -7 months. I provided daily care, including meals, hygiene, play activities, and developmental progress to both children. From 2011-2016, I was a part-time nanny for a family in Medford for the last 5 years, caring for a now-8 year old and 11 year old. I also worked with another family, ages 2 and 4, from 2012-2016. Both jobs were wonderful and I was so bummed to leave them. They ended naturally- one due to the kids no longer needing a nanny, and the other due to transportation logistics. From Aug 2016-Feb 2017 I worked 2-3 full days/week with a family in Somerville. 15 mo. old qualified for their work-sponsored childcare beginning in March. References available upon request.
