Hello, I have about 12 years of experience as a babysitter/nanny with children from 2mo to 15years old. Before I started my first nanny position in 2009 I worked in a daycare for two years as an infant/toddler teacher. I wanted to become a nanny because I felt it would give me a wonderful learning experience working with children in a family setting. I have built very strong relationships with families I have worked for and I am very lucky to be a huge part of their children's lives, its like being a big sister to a bunch of kids :) I love working with children because I have a very friendly, outgoing, caring and positive personality. I try to be as creative and fun as possible, always engaging the children in fun and educational activities. I enjoy teaching children new things and believe interactive and creative activities are very Read more important to a child's growth. I am passionate about what I do because a child's youngest years are the most important and nothing is more rewarding than having a positive influence on a child's life. I love working with children and I feel I have a lot to offer as a care giver. In all of my previous nanny positions I have helped with house hold chores, such as laundry and daily clean up, and errands like grocery shopping. I love animals so if your family has pets then helping out with pet care is fine with me! I have had experience working with early intervention physical therapists and speech therapists. It was an amazing opportunity to learn from them one on one. I carry on my teaching skills, from when I worked in a preschool/day care, into my nanny positions to help further children's learning and keep structure. What sets me apart from other care givers is my kind heart and nurturing personality. Although I take my job very serious, I am a child at heart and a super goof ball. I think it is important for a nanny to have a strong relationship not only with the kids but with the whole family.
