Hello! My name is Sunshine Baxter. I am married and together we have two very happy dogs (Cloe and Tesla). I look forward to the time when we have our own family, that includes children (not just our dog)! I enjoy playing basketball, golf and doing most things outside to enjoy the fresh air. I love fun facts and to learn. I have been a part-time nanny for an extremely intelligent and energetic one year girl, since August. I enjoy teaching her letters, numbers, animals, words, and shapes. I also enjoy reading books, singing songs, dancing, and working on puzzles with her. I love to take her to the park, the playground, the library and for walks. With the recent snowfall, I have been thrilled to show her how to dig in the snow and have her help me build a snowman. We have had a lot of fun together Read more in the past 5 months. I babysit for infants, toddlers, elementary and middle school aged children now (both boys and girls). I enjoy playing "peek-a-boo", reading books, arts & crafts, and going out for walks with the toddlers. I love to play "hide and go seek", teach the kids how to cook/bake, play outside, arts & crafts, and have dance parties. I also have fun playing sports, riding bikes, playing board games and working on school projects. I have been caring for others since the age of 10, when my baby sister was born and I thought of her as my own. I loved to get up with her in the mornings to rock her, feed her and change her. Doing these things, made me feel like a real mother and I liked it. I started "officially" babysitting a couple years after that and I have not stopped since. I have spent the past 6 years working with individuals with a variety of special needs (within a school system and non-profit organization). The past 4 years I worked within a school system mainly with children on the Autism Spectrum and I also worked with children that have moderate to severe special needs. 2 years before I worked at the school, I worked at a non-profit organization with individuals diagnosed with mental retardation/developmental disabilities. I am passionate about others and I am willing stop at nothing to ensure the safety and happiness of the children/individuals that I care for. I consider myself to be smart, fun, playful; yet firm.
