Hi! I am a 23 year old who graduated with a bachelors degree from Roger Williams University with a degree in child psychology and another in American Studies in 2014. I am currently a graduate student at Boston University. While I have been in college, I worked at a day care in Rhode Island with newborns through 6 year old children. I have the most experience with children who are between 1 and 6. I also spent a last year interning at the Department of Children, Youth and Families in Rhode Island. During my time there, I supervised and helped care for up to three children at a time. I cherished this experience in learning and working more with different children who are suffering from social/emotional disorders and their families to help create and maintain a schedule that works for them. While I do not want to work for this Read more organization in the future, it re-affirmed my love for working with children and watching them grow and succeed. I am very organized person who absolutely loves to be active and be creative. I love to go to the park and on walks, to the zoo, museums, and story times! I am still a kid at heart and love to do arts and crafts and I have found that this is a great way to connect with children and allow them to be themselves. I also believe that there is no reason to be stuck inside when there is so much to do outside when the weather is beautiful. I am also very responsible and punctual. In fact, I usually end up being 10-15 minutes early to anywhere I go because I cannot stand being late. I will be available starting in the end of August as I am currently working for a family with two fantastic children who will unfortunately be in full-time schooling in the fall. I am looking for a full-time position, hopefully with the potential to be at least a year in commitment. Hope to hear from you soon, I would love to meet you and your children!
