My name is Kayleigh Stone, I'm currently a student at Bridgewater State University. I'm looking to major in special education and minor in art therapy. Growing up learning did not come easy to me. I struggled in school and was later diagnosed with a learning disability. I developed a fear of going to school, because I was constantly told how slow I was by my fellow classmates and teachers. It wasn't until a student aid that came in to do her student teaching that taught me to have confidence in myself. She worked with me one on one and helped me regain my confidence. Ms. Foley is the reason I want to become a teacher, I want to give students the confidence they need to have in themselves. I have a lot of experience with children. I am the oldest out of my cousins, and I have a younger sister Read more who will be attending middle school this year. It's crazy how time flies! My previous jobs include working at an indoor bouncy house called Pump It Up, where you help host birthday parties for children. For a year and half I worked at Skribbles Learning center, where I also fell in love with the idea of becoming a teacher. I've been babysitting since I was fourteen, started with my aunts and uncles then moved to neighbors. I am CPR and First Aid Certified.
