Hi there! My name is Laura, and I am a 32 year old mother to a wonderful 9 year old little boy. I have been a babysitter/nanny on and off since I was a tween, and have many years of full time experience. As for other experience, I was a child protection social worker for several years before attending graduate school to be a licensed mental health counselor. I just wrapped up a year long internship as an outpatient therapist for children and a preschool mental health consultant. My hope is to nanny from April through the summer, if not longer. Currently I would love a part time arrangement so that I can send my son to camp on a part time basis through the summer. Given that he is 9, I’m not particularly looking for a situation where he comes with me (unless it is a similar age Read more child who is also home for the summer). I am open to full time, it would just really have to be the right fit. I say all the time that being a nanny was the best job I’ve ever had- I love working with children, I love teaching them, and watching them grow. Being a mother is the most rewarding job in the world, but being a part of other children's lives is a close second. I am so passionate about education and fulfilling children's developmental, emotional, social, and academic needs.
