Hi! I am a stay home at home of two beautiful, smart and well behaved boys, ages 4 & 1. I have been working with children and people with disabilities since I was 15 in a variety of settings such as public school, private care and in social service organizations. I counseled children and their families who were victims of domestic violence for 2 years. I worked for Taunton school district as a Teachers Assistant/ American Sign Language Interpreter. I raised my brother since he was born-12 year gap. I occasionally babysit for a newborn and my nieces 4 months- 6 years old. But no matter how much experience you have in caregiving for children, nothing compares to the insight and direct experience of caring for your own kids. And this is why I have only hired mom's to watch my own kids when I needed care b/c we "get" Read more how important our kids safety is. I am seeking a part time sitter/nanny/transporter job preferably with a schedule. This will afford me the opportunity to continue my studies for my Masters Degree in Higher Ed. Admin. with Northeastern University (online). I am a Northeastern Ulmna with a BS in Social Work. So now you know the professional me, who will I be for your kids? I am open to safely transporting, cooking for and with kids, imagination play, reading, arts&crafts, homework help. I typically limit TV time to 1-2 hours for little ones. I have found younger kids are happier with a routine and I can adapt to yours. Similarily, if you need assistance implementing a routine, I can do that! Older kids love me bc I'm more like that older cousin versus a "sitter". I build trust quickly with older kids and set limits/boundaries. With that said, I'm down to earth, social media savvy and love pop culture. I'm a fun gal and relatable. Who am I as a mom? I am the type of mom who is firm, silly, fun and unconventional. I expose my kids to different cultures & activities. My 4 yr old loves sushi (avocado rolls) for example. He's an interesting preschooler; people are surprised by how well he listens & how articulate he is. He also has a big heart and volunteers serving desserts to the hungry. My 1 yr old loves music and dance & is already very independent. Im not allowed to feed him anymore! He has to do it on his own! Our children are a direct reflection of us and I am so proud how my little guys are turning out! Thank you for learning about me. Please message me if you would think I'd be a great fit for your care giver needs
