Hi there! My name is Steph and I am a young professional working at a local non-profit that serves homeless young adults. Additionally, I work part-time as a before-school nanny to a six year old. I have been working with my little buddy for the past two years and enjoy every moment that I get to spend with her! My background is in Social Work. I graduated from Simmons University in 2019 having studied Environmental Studies & Social Work during undergrad. Since graduating, I have found myself working with individuals of all ages and ability levels- highlighting the idea that community is for EVERYONE. My role at my full time job is to connect neighbors and assist in avoiding social isolation through means of running online, and in person events (ex- taking a group to Al Anon, hosting online job fairs, etc.). As for experience, other than my current job- I've been babysitting since I was 12 years old, which was also the same year that I became an aunt to my first nephew! :~) I began babysitting for my neighbors as a way to make a little money, and shortly after began babysitting for a couple family friends and various other community members. Since then I've had many different jobs in childcare- from being a STEAM teacher in a summer camp setting to being a youth advocate at community meetings. In general, I just love to be around the youthful, optimistic, and energetic spirit that children have & find myself gravitating toward jobs where I work with them. In regards to safety- I am CPR & First Aid Certified, and additionally I am trained in Narcan administration & trained in EpiPen administration.
