Hello! My name is Megan, and I am a sophomore studying Elementary Education at Westfield State University. I have plans to obtain a Master's Degree in Adjustment Counseling, once i receive my Bachelor's Degree. I am described by friends and family as being a kind and compassionate person. Helping others makes me happy. I have always found joy in caring for children, whether they are my younger cousins, or my neighbors. This is why I decided to pursue education and counseling as my career. I hope that with my degree, I can help younger people to work through their problems and feel more confident in themselves. I've cared for the same family of three children for the past five years. When I began babysitting for them the children (two girls and a boy) were 2, 5 and 6 years of age. I've been involved with this family since the youngest Read more child was born because my sister cares for them as well, so I do have experience with children under the age of two. When I babysit the children I give them dinner, play board games or partake in other activities they are interested in, and put them to bed. I also would take them to dancing school, out to restaurants, or to different places like plaster fun time, the movies or monkey Joe's etc. on some occasions. Many times I have also brought these children to my own house during the summer to swim. I am looking for a more constant job, these children are older now and do not need a babysitter as often as they used to. I also have tutoring experience. During my senior year of high school I tutored a fifth grader twice a week. I helped this child with any subject they needed assistance with. Now going to school for Elementary Education, I feel I can help your children even more with subjects they might be struggling with.
