Let me begin by introducing myself my name is Sarah Brown and I am 41 years old. I have a valid passport, and a drivers license with a clean driving record. I am a non-smoker. I feel that I am an open minded person that is open to new ideas and situations. I have been a nanny for 20 years. I have had a variety of responsibilities during this time including preparation of healthy meals, getting children to events, setting up play dates and tutoring. I completed teacher training at Somona State College and have an Early Childhood certificate. I pride myself in the long lasting meaningful relationships I have made with the families I have worked for. The families I have worked for, I have been with at least a year or two I have a strong background in positive discipline and am consistent and caring in my childcare. Read more I look at conflict and troubles as teachable moments. Active listening and having children learn how to get their needs met in a peaceful way. I love to provide academic opportunities through play, field trips, reading and discovery. I feel confident setting up learning areas and helping children discover their interests and passions. Travel, crafts, gardening, volunteering and dance are a few of my person activities I like to do in my personal time. In my travels I have gone to England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, France and Australia. During my time in Australia I explored and traveled for six months by myself. I see my relationship with the family as being part of a team so the child/children get and have a good sense of continuity.
