Dorothy became our nanny when our son Yuval was just 6 weeks old. She stayed with us for 4 months. We decided to put our child in a family day care only because we could not afford anymore a full time nanny. Otherwise we would have never let her go! She is very professional and very experienced with infants. We found her advice priceless as a first time parents. Our son had difficulties eating from a bottle and Dorothy was the one that found the appropriate bottle for him. She was trustworthy and I felt completely comfortable to go to work and leave my son in her hands. She is loving and caring, sings songs to the baby, chats with him and plays with him. She also always kept our house tidy and clean and it was a pleasure to come back home. Dorothy came to work once a week with her son Hayden, He is an amazing kid, funny and friendly. Our son enjoyed watching him play and we feel it really helped him to develop more skills. Overall, I feel that Dorothy is a great nanny and you’ll be lucky to hire her.

Dorothy is a gem! She has been working with our family since September 2009, caring for our daughter from 15mos to nearly 2 1/2 years, and our son from just a couple weeks after he was born to 6 mos. Alas, we have to relocate for work and we can't convince her to move with us! A responsible, communicative caregiver, Dorothy brings us real peace of mind. As a mom herself, she just gets it. Her 3 year-old son Hayden, now in preschool, is a loving active boy who delights in pretend play and romps at the park. Both of our kids absolutely adore Dorothy (and Hayden!). Days are filled with a great balance of activities and free play. She gets the kids out of the house almost every day to local singalongs, storytimes, parks and other adventures. Our older daughter loves showing off the creations of their arts and crafts and cooking days. Our little boy just coos and giggles when she picks him up. She has also been great at setting boundaries with our older one and using a caring but firm discipline where it's needed. Amazingly, even at the end of these busy days, our home is always cleaner than we left it. Dorothy has surprised us more than once by volunteering to handle this household chore or that--laundry cleaned and put away, dishes done, grocery shopping, sweeping... She has a tremendous work ethic. She routinely finds ways to improve the job she's doing for the kids and responds very well to feedback. My husband and I often comment on how much easier things are on the days Dorothy works! Feel free to contact me with any other questions you may have.
