Hello, my name is Chelsea and I am currently a full time psychology student at Saint Joseph's University, and I about to graduate this May, 2015. I have been babysitting since I was ten, when I started as a "mother's helper" and have worked as a babysitter all throughout high school and college. I have always done more than the basic duties many families require or prefer from a babysitter. Not only do I care for the children I babysit, but I also perform tasks both around the home and outside of normal home duties. For example, I grocery shop, prepare meals, do the dishes, do laundry, pickup around the house, vacuum and mop, and am always willing to take on new tasks. I believe that as a babysitter, it is my job to step in and treat children the same way their parents would. I believe that I have responsibilities far greater than simply making sure the children are safe while I am watching them; rather, I am to be a teacher, and supporter, and ultimately a friend.
