My name is Laura and I'm 30 years old. I moved to Greer from Massachusetts with my 3 year old daughter Taylor, 2 dogs, and cat in Sept. I have been nannying with my daughter since she was 4 months old. From December 2014 to September 2016 I was nannying for a wonderful family with 2 kids (one older child and one same age). My daughter and I grew very close to them as the kids grew up together and we still stay in close contact. We were in the process of moving to SC at the time but decided to put that on hold due to unexpected health issues with a family member. Since we knew it could be a few months or so until we moved, I started looking for temporary nannying jobs. I found the perfect job where a mother only needed someone until Spring time as Read more she was finishing her Student Teaching. This family had 2 children (one baby and one same age as my daughter). Although my daughter loved playing with the boy her age, she also truly enjoyed the baby that she could "read" to and play with. We also stay in close contact with this family as well since we have grown so close to everyone over the past year. I have been babysitting/nannying for the past 16 years of my life for all ages. Some were nannying jobs that lasted years and others are being the occasional babysitter for families that I've met through my daycare/preschool jobs. While attending highschool and college, I interned for a few daycare/preschool centers. While working at a daycare center, I also worked at a nursing home/rehab facility for over 3 years.  I worked as a toddler/preschool lead teacher for 10 years total and loved it! I received my Bachelor's Degree in December 2011 for Elementary Ed. from ENC in MA and hope to pursue my dream as a third grade teacher some day! I've always enjoyed the outdoors ever since I was a child and I try to encourage the children I babysit to become more active with outdoor activities as well. I love doing water play, nature walks, hiking, and for older kids we've gone on bike rides, played tennis, and more. For indoor activities, my personal favorites are playing board games/cards, reading, and any arts and crafts. After working with children most of my life, I see the benefits of children learning to work together as I teach them the skills they need. I'm so thankful my daughter has had these wonderful opportunities being with me while I care for other children. The families have also agreed and would love to share their experience with me as their nanny
