I began babysitting at age 12 after completing a Red Cross Babysitting Certification program. Since then I have been a babysitter for children between the ages of 9 months and 14 years. I have been a nanny for three consecutive summers for the same family. In addition to babysitting I helped teach ballet to girls ages 4-11 during my time in high school. I graduated this May with my Bachelors of Science in Middle Level Education Math/English. My senior year of high school I became interested in education and after spending some time observing in classrooms I loved it. I student taught in a 7th grade classroom and later in a 5th grade classroom. I believe childhood is an extremely important time in a person's life as they figure out who they are going to be. Because of this I believe it is important to encourage and support children in Read more their academics, interests, and skills. Personally I enjoy academics and a wide variety of interests: music, dance, reading, writing, and sports are a few of those.
