To whom it may concern: I currently work with children ages 2-21 with autism and other communication disorders as an RBT--I have provided in-home services before though my current position is considered an outpatient facility. Because of this I have limited availability to offer to private child care. (disclaimer: I cannot offer in-home behavior services) I have been providing varying degrees of childcare for 10+ years. I previously worked in elementary school as a paraprofessional and prior to that held long-term substitute teaching positions in elementary and high-school. I have provided short and long term care for children from 6 months to 12 yrs old; I typically care for 1-3 children per family and welcome play dates. Some of the children I have cared for have had strict dietary needs, allergies, sensory sensitivities, busy schedules, lack of interest in extracurricular activities, & physical injuries. From my work I am confident Read more and comfortable working with children on the spectrum who display challenging behaviors and, contrarily children who are more aloof. My services typically include driving children to & from activities/appointments, light-moderate housekeeping, children's laundry, meal prep, planning activities (trips to library, bike rides, beach or pool days, hikes, arts & crafts, etc.), homework help & more specific tutoring. I prefer to have open communication with parents and I am o.k. with last minute changes (adding hours, date nights, or cancelling).
