I have had many enriching experiences in raising 85 children, many of whom were special ed. At the age of 40 I then went off to do self-fulfilling life experiences. I attended college, became an artist, learned to roller-blade, etc. But I can honestly say that I am filled with empty nest syndrome, I miss being involved in a child's day to day ever-evolving learning experiences. Allowing a child to find their creative side through play, cooking, crafts, the arts and reading is a very fulfilling purpose in life.
