I'm a 57 year old mother of two grown children. Ive had lots of experience with children raising my own, one of who is special needs. While staying home with them for the years I did (about 16 years), I volunteered at the local elementary school helping a few special needs children learn to read, taught elementary children in church school at our church, and worked in the nursery. For the past fifteen years, I've been a bookseller at Borders Bookstore and then Barnes and Noble Bookstore. I primarily worked in the childrens' departments and at Borders did many years of storytelling which is something I love to do. I am also an artist, oil painting and printmaking being my primary ways to work. I am currently part of the Blackstone Printers studio in Worcester and active with the art museum. I recently had a few times of babysitting for Read more a young family and this has got me interested in pursuing more of these childcare opportunities as it seems to be a natural step for me to take.
