Hello! My name is Julia McCarthy and I am a 22 year-old, recent college graduate. I am the fifth eldest of eleven children. I grew up surrounded by toddlers, infants, and young children. With my home life alone, I have babysat for my mother many times and work extremely well with children of all ages, including teens. I also worked at an overnight, summer camp for inner-city children ages 4-13 for three years in high school. Also in high school, I volunteered as a babysitter twice a week at You Inc., working with infants and toddlers. There, I became CPR-certified for all infants and toddlers. Although my license has since expired, I am familiar with the procedures and could get re-certified if needed. Throughout college, I babysat for some of my professors children on multiple occasions. Last summer I also worked as an acting coach for children and teens ages Read more 10-17. There, I was responsible for planning activities, lessons, and overseeing large groups of children for extended periods of time. I recently just graduated from The College of the Holy Cross with my BA in English and Theater. With my theater major, having worked as an actress, director, and designer, I am more than comfortable with creative, fun projects and keeping children entertained. With my combined skills from my education and family life, I feel I am a responsible, mature, trustworthy, and fun caretaker. I waitress weekend evenings, but with notice could work with your schedule and needs. I will also be attending Harvard for an acting program starting July 12, so would only be available in the evenings from then on. I am a licensed driver, but do not own my own car.
