I have been a nanny/sitter for nearly 10 years. I love what I do!! I have experience working with special needs children. I am looking for a long term position with a family that I can grow with, as the family that I have been with for several years is moving to New York. I started working with them when their boys were 2 and 4 years old. Prior to that, I was with a family for 2+ years. I began with them prior to the birth of the birth of the birth of very loveable twin boys, their curious 3 year old sister, and her feisty 6 year old brother. I find interacting with children a pleasure. .I have a calm, easygoing personality.. but I love to laugh and have fun :):) I do very well multitasking. One of the most enjoyable parts of being a nanny is planning Read more engaging, fun, and educational age and appropriate activities. I like to plan trips to the park, reading, play board and card games, outdoor games (basketball, soccer, etc), arts and crafts. Along with assisting with the usual daily routine of planned activities, homework, and "chores" :):) taking time for down-time to just relax, hang out, or read is also important. I would work closely with you to maintain whatever schedule/guidelines you currently have in place for snacks, homework , meals, and general routine. Consistency and open lines of communication are essential. I would also be available to cover school vacation, 1/2 days, and holidays. On those days I would love to take the opportunity to go on a day trip to a museum or the aquarium in Boston, or to Roger William's Zoo:):) I would also be able to assist with snack and meal preparation and light housekeeping if needed. To let you know a little bit about myself. I am a very reliable punctual and consistent person. I am enthusiastic about my life and my work. I have a degree in Child Psychology. In my spare time, I like to hike, cook. play the piano, go to the gym, give my dog lots of TLC :):) and relax with a good book. I can provide excellent references. I am experienced with infant and child CPR and First Aid. I drive a reliable vehicle, and am comfortable transporting your children to their favorite activities. If you would like to reach me directly, please feel free to call/text me at 774-292-2651 Maureen

Unfortunately I used Maureen for approx 4 months and it was the worst thing I have done was to hire her. I gave her so many chances to be better, act better and be more reliable etc. It was so stressful. I feel she is very mean and doesn't care about anything except herself and money. She doesn't remember things that you say and lies a lot. Also it is extremely difficult to plan anything with her being very unreliable. She won't call or cancel last minute all the time. Also she has emotional issues and cries for no reason. She passed out in my kitchen 1 time and the list goes on and on. It was getting very uncomfortable and worse each month as times goes on so I had to let her go. It wasn't getting any better it was getting worse and worse and we met numerous times to go over all the issues with her. She is very unstable and cancels all the time and I am so glad she is out of my families life. Overall everything was bad. If she was free I wouldn't let her near my family or kids again. I would highly recommend staying away from this babysitter/nanny.

After interviewing and meeting my children, we spent $80 on Maureen's background check, which she approved. We never heard from her again, ever. Completely unprofessional.
