I am from the beautiful island of St.Kitts in the Caribbean. I love children and have been baby sitting since I was 14 yrs old. I have a son and daughter who are now college graduates because of my care and attention towards them and my emphasis on education. I have baby sat a number of children since migrating to the US in 93. Some are now in college, college graduates or have the potential of achieving the same goal. I am very energetic, love caring for and nurturing children. I also love to read with children and teach them different ways in which they can make learning fun. I am very energetic, fun loving and love the out doors. I have been a non smoker all my life. I volunteered at the Marie H Reed Elementary School for 4 yrs after arriving in the US (1993 - 1997). I highly recommend Norma, who has been our full time nanny for the past year. She is extremely energetic, patient, and loving with our two children, ages 2 and 4. She is flexible with her schedule when I have to work late, and she is proactive in keeping things tidy around the house. She loves doing crafts with the children and taking them on field trips to the museums. She is legal to work in the U.S., she has an early childhood education degree, and English is her first language. She drives and has her own car. She hasn't taken sick leave once in the past year. Norma has been wonderful with our children and we are sad to have to say goodbye, as we are sending both of our children to a full day preschool in September. We interviewed at least six people that had profiles on Sitter City before we decided to hire Norma. She was the most experienced and professional candidate by far!
