I have been a babysitter and/or a full time nanny for over ten years for many different families. Each family has had different requirements, but I typically was responsible for achieving the following things; Waking children up, preparing meals and snacks throughout the day, changing diapers and clothing, putting children down for naps, driving the children to preschool and other activities, helped with homework and other assignments, organizing games and play dates, bathing children and teaching them about personal hygiene, preparing for bed, disciplining in a positive manner, administering medication when needed, helping with potty training, taking the children to doctors appointments and check ups, communicating and formulating plans with parents to make sure all areas of development are being reached, watering plants, washing the children's laundry, small chores around the house and caring for the families' pets. I have also been in a situation where the parents had to Read more leave the state for an emergency and left me in charge to assume full responsibility for the house, children and animals. I am CPR and first aid certified. I became a caregiver because I find it to be a very rewarding and enjoyable job. I love working with children and furthering my advanced experience in infant and childhood development. I am a responsible, nurturing and creative individual who sets goals to make sure each child reaches all of their developmental milestones. I am great at creating educational and fun activities for children while their physical, emotional and mental well-being are the biggest priority. I'm a great caregiver because I do not just watch children, but create fun and interesting plans that help further their development. Instead of just being there to watch the children, I am not afraid to get on the children's level when it comes to playing and education. I provide a safe and fun learning environment while being a great role model.
