I cannot remember a time that I was not interested in caring for children. I spent ages 12-18 years babysitting for multiple families who had anywhere from 1-3 children ages 8 months to 10 years. All the while working at day camps and summer sleep away camps in order to continually be a part of any community where I had the chance to love, care, and play with children. Most recently I worked for The Educational Resource Group, a company that helps clients with cognitive learning disabilities. During my time as a coach at the resource center I was able to work one on one with individuals, not only strengthening their learning abilities for school, but also helping to increase confidence, positivity, creativity, and intellectual capability. For me, one of the most rewarding experiences is helping to form a nurturing, safe environment in order to witness a child grow to Read more become their own person. I am often told that I have a motherly personality and this is the greatest compliment. I would love to spend my entire week caring for a family, helping to support parents who are working or otherwise engaged during the week. As a person who is drawn to children, aspires to nurture a child's healthy, active, and creative growth, I believe that childcare is a perfect fit. I am organized, and enjoy cooking and cleaning. I am kind, personable, trustworthy and reliable. I love the active life, sports, outdoors and nutrition, as well as reading, learning, and any and all creative arts and crafts. I hope that this except is enough of a window to encourage parents to contact me to speak in person where I shine the best. Warm personal connection is the epitome of that motherly character I mentioned before.
