Hello! My name is Alexa, I'm a 2016 graduate. In highschool I completed the Early Childhood Education and Early Childhood Development programs (I have a portfolio documenting all of my lesson plans and activities that can be looked over by you if you would like to see some of my work). During these programs I cared for 16 children ages varying from 3-5 years old. In the program facility provided a safe, accepting, and educational environment for students to encourage them to want to learn and prepare for their educational career. I was apart of FEA group for 2 years where we hosted babysitting parties that were offered to teachers and our preschool program students where we cared for students ranging from infants-teenagers. I received special infant training during the programs due to the fact that I ran the infant sections, this means I watched over and assisted each person Read more that was a part of the infant babysitting group to ensure each child was happy and being cared for appropriately. I have a lot of experience with young children and always put their needs first. I also went through a program to become CPR and First Aid certified for infants, children, and adults. Currently taking a year break from furthering my education to work with children and explore different majors/career opportunities and would love to be able to work with children as a full time job to continue with my experience.
