I'm a 25 year old graduate student at the London School of Economics (studying social psychology), who will be returning to the states this July to write my thesis. During this time, I would love to acquire a full or part-time care giving position! I have nearly 9 years of extensive experience working with children of all ages, 0-18, and would love to work for your family! During the summers of 2007 & 2008 I worked as a camp counselor at a children's sleep-away camp, and during the summer of 2010, I was a classroom leader for Charlottesville City Public Schools, in charge of 28 children ages 4-7. During this time, I also became a life guard--the credentials have expired, but I've been trained in first aide. After graduating from UVA in 2011, I nannied for two children ages 4 and 7, then took an Americorps position in Silver Spring Read more and babysat for 5 or 6 families in the area. The summer after Americorps, I nannyed two of the children for whom I'd babysat (at the time, ages 1 and 3), and continue to babysit whenever I'm in DC. I've worked as a refugee resettlement caseworker and as a program associate for state department youth programs, but left a full-time job to return to grad-school last year. Last summer, I nannyed for a family with three boys while living in Brussels, Belgium, ages 1 month, 2, and 3. I consider myself to be an energetic, engaged, fun loving, caretaker, who loves to stay active. I'm free from July 5th until the end of August and would love to be of service to you and your family!
