I started off babaysitting and being a nanny for my sister starting when she had her second child. Right after giving birth my sister went back to college. That is when I recieved my experience with infants. I would watch the baby while she was at classes during the day. I would fix bottles for the infant, change his diapers, give him baths, put him to sleep, and while he was sleeping I'd tidy up his room and clean some bottles. When the child got old enough around 2 years old my sister put him in daycare and I got a regular store job. I felt a bit sad knowing I wouldn't be watching him anymore and thats just when it clicked that I actually loved watching him so I tested to see if I loved caring for and watching kids in general or was it just him. I offered Read more to watch a neighbors kids while they had date night (number available upon request). I watched an infant and a toddler around the age of 3 years old. The night went so smoothly I surprised myself. The parents provided a list of things we could do for fun, the channels the toddler liked on tv, the passcode to her iPad incase she wanted to play games on there, what to feed her for dinner and what time they would like her to be in bed which helped a great deal. Getting her to go to bed was easy because I just tired her out with games throughout the evening and the infant was just a model child he didn't cry once. I was there from 5PM until 10PM. The toddler was in bed by 8 and I cleaned up and attended to the infant as needed until the parents arrived. I absolutely loved the time spent with the kids. From that experience I got CPR certified, First Aid training and learned how to cook some kid friendly meals. Since then I've watched plenty of kids but never more than 3 at a time and the oldest was always 8-11 years of age. I help with homework and chores when needed. What's different about me is I'm not your typical nanny/babysitter that sits on their phone like the babysitters on television. I genuinely care about the wellbeing of the children as I would someone to care about mine. I want to give the parents one less thing to worry about while they are at work, school, date night or even just running errands. My goal is to relieve stress about worry who your kids are with and make you confident in knowing that they are safe with an excellent influence.
