I am an undergraduate student at University of Maryland majoring in Government & Politics. I have had strong experience with children in the past. I am from Brazil and first came to the United States as an Au Pair in 2012 where I spent one year with a family, taking care of their new born baby and a 3-year-old. Before that, I was active with children in my community in Brazil, volunteering at church staying with the children while their parents attended service. Upon my return to Brazil after my Au Pair year, I had one of the biggest experiences with children, which was working as a teacher assistant at the American School of Sao Paulo. There I worked with 3/4-year-olds preparing lessons with the teacher, serving snacks and lunch, taking them to playground/art lessons/PE lessons. When main teacher was not present including the kids nap time I had 18 Read more children under my supervision. That was my job when I attended 2 years of college in Brazil. Now that I am on my way to graduate at the University of Maryland, I am seeking to spend summer doing what I like: spending time with little ones. I am aware of children's needs to interact with others and engage in cultural activities, such as: museum/library trips, craft/art work, develop fine motor skills playing with dough and many other fun stuff. Under my supervision I make sure children do not stay on electronic devices, summer is time to have fun and develop social/artistic/creative skills. I have had a CPR training both in 2012 as an Au Pair and in 2013 through the American School of Sao Paulo.
