Hello, I am a professional nanny with 2 years of experience caring for children of ages ranging from 12 months to 10 years old. Prior to my experience as a nanny, I have been a babysitter for multiple families throughout my teen and young adult years for children of ages ranging from 10 months to 8 years old. I am CPR/First Aid certified, and currently making arrangements to begin the process of becoming a certified Newborn Specialist. I have a positive discipline/natural consequence approach, which helps to promote positive decision making and self-suffiency from an early age. I am a huge proponent for independent play, which will help your child learn to rely on their own creativity and imagination for entertainment, as opposed to relying on adult-led activities. That is not to say that I don't get down and dirty with my charges on a daily basis, though - I Read more like to take the children in my care on multiple outings a week, including to the aquarium, zoo, playgrounds, splash pads, nature preserves, on hikes, libraries, etc. I am huge on playing outdoors as much as possible, and love turning every adventure into an educational experience. I am passionate about the work I do, and feel truly honored to have the opportunity to mold little hearts and minds into kind, thoughtful, independent, and productive members of society.
