Though I have no formal training, I've embarked on being Certified as a registered nanny by the International Nanny Association (yes, there is such a thing). However, my lack off current official certification doesn't hinder my ability to perform task or properly care for children as I've been doing so with my younger siblings, family members and children of friends since my sophomore year of High School. I have tremendous leadership skills, proven by my having founded and held executive office in two community outreach organizations within my high school from my first year to my last. These leadership skills, coupled with my unparalleled calm, patient temperament make me a perfect candidate to properly deal with the roller coaster that is caring for children I'm an excellent chef, worker and entertainer, able to provide for you and your family what you need of me. In return for my services, I ask that you as parents be open minded and non-judgmental in your approach to the social world around us, because as an openly LGBT person of color, where being only one minority is difficult enough, I expect a level of respect from the people I work with. My identity is only a small part of who I am, probably the smallest, but growing up different has allowed me to open my mind and eyes more to the world around me, making more sensitive and appreciative to the needs of others. I love children (especially creative toddlers) and animals make me happy! Though I love cats, I have a minor allergy which is controlled through medication. My intention as a full time, whenever-you-need-me, nanny, is to provide you and your family with a safe, involved and caring environment, the tools (me) you need to succeed, the clarity you need if problems arise, and the access to fix them when they do. I'm straight forward and fun, though not a slacker. A joker who knows when it's time to be serious and a dedicated worker who will do any and everything in his power to make you happy.
